Self talk and it's effects on our lives
"Wow! That's such a nice house. I know I'll never be able to afford something that nice." How many times have you heard or said something like that? Sometimes we say things to appear modest because we have been conditioned to think nice things are in some way "bad." Perhaps we truely believe statements like that. Either way, there are some changes to be made to further ourselves. I challenge you to closely monitor your self talk. When you are going about your day, pay a little more attention to your own thoughts and you may notice some negative self talk. Why should we care? Well simply it is because we are always listening to ourselves. Either consciously or subconsciously we "hear" every word we think. This is important because we can limit our own personal growth and success through negative self talk. A belief is merely a thought you repeatedly think and if you tell yourself "I can't, I won't, It's too difficult" for long enough, you will believe it whether or not you are consciously aware of it or not. Once you are able to be the watcher of your thoughts, you will be able to change them. Whenever you think something negative or limiting, replace it with a thought that is empowering and inspiring to you. I know you can do it, now it's up to you! Here's to a Happy New Year and a Healthy New You!
